I was honoured to speak at DigiDECOM’s NuclearNEXT 2025 this week on Knowledge Management Fundamentals.
The nuclear sector is entering a period where institutional knowledge, workforce transition, and digital capability are becoming central to long-term safety and operational resilience. My session focused on practical ways organisations can strengthen KM systems – from digital tools and engineering workflows to expert retention and cross-border knowledge exchange.
One message resonated strongly with me:
Without structured KM, even the best expertise is at risk of being lost. With the right approach, it becomes a strategic asset.
I continue to work with regulators, utilities, and national programmes worldwide as a fractional KM consultant, helping them design, implement, and optimise knowledge systems aligned with nuclear industry needs.
If your organisation is exploring how to:
• retain critical expertise
• build a sustainable KM framework
• strengthen decommissioning knowledge flows
• integrate digital tools or KM architecture
…I’d be happy to have a conversation.
